Our Middlesex County line
We work in the southern half of Middlesex County. The northern edge of our area is Old Bridge, Sayreville, South Amboy and Edison, and we cover everything south of them: East Brunswick, Monroe, South Brunswick, Plainsboro, Cranbury, Jamesburg, Helmetta, Spotswood, South River and Milltown. Towns farther north in the county are outside our service area.
We are a family-owned, mobile asphalt crew. We do not have a storefront; Dan comes to the property, walks the driveway or lot with you, and gives you a free estimate. Call or text 732-403-3053 to get started.
Driveways and lots in a busy county
Southern Middlesex is a mix of established suburbs, newer developments and some of the busiest commercial corridors in the state. That shows up in the work we do here.
For homeowners, it is mostly asphalt driveway paving: replacing worn-out driveways in neighborhoods that were built out years ago, paving driveways on newer homes, and milling and repaving driveways whose base is still in good shape. Plenty of families also ask about widening a driveway to get cars off the street.
For businesses and associations, we handle parking lot paving for retail centers, offices, medical buildings, HOAs and apartment communities. Lots near Route 1, Route 18 and the New Jersey Turnpike see heavy traffic and truck turning, which grinds down the surface and breaks up weak spots. Milling, base repair and a new top layer is the usual fix, and correcting drainage and broken edges can stretch the life of a lot that is mostly sound.
The towns, from the Raritan south
- Edison is home to Menlo Park, where Thomas Edison ran his lab, and is crossed by Route 1, Route 27 and the Turnpike. It has a big mix of homes and commercial properties.
- Old Bridge is a large township along Route 9 and Route 18, and part of Cheesequake State Park sits within it. Neighborhoods range from older sections to newer subdivisions.
- Sayreville sits on the south bank of the Raritan River, where the Garden State Parkway crosses on the Driscoll Bridge. Low ground near the river makes drainage planning important.
- South Amboy is a small city on Raritan Bay with older, close-set homes and short driveways.
- East Brunswick is a suburban township along Route 18 and the Turnpike, with lots of established neighborhoods and shopping centers.
- Monroe is known for its many active-adult communities, which means shared roads and parking areas as well as private driveways.
- Cranbury pairs a historic village center with large warehouse and distribution properties near the Turnpike.
- Plainsboro and South Brunswick sit along the Route 1 corridor toward Princeton, with townhouse communities, office parks and single-family neighborhoods.

Ground conditions: river lowlands and farm-belt soils
Southern Middlesex sits where the Raritan River and its tributaries, including the South River and Lawrence Brook, cut through the land. Near those waterways the ground can be low and wet. Farther south, toward Monroe, Cranbury and Plainsboro, the land flattens out into former farm country, with a mix of sandy and heavier soils.
What that means for a driveway or lot: water management comes first. Heavier soils hold water and can soften the base, while flat land gives water fewer places to go. We dig out soft spots, build a compacted aggregate base to the right depth, and set the pitch so runoff heads to the street or a drain, not toward the garage or into a low corner of the lot.
How we schedule work in Middlesex
Southern Middlesex borders Monmouth County, the center of our service area, so getting a crew to Old Bridge, Sayreville or Monroe is a short trip. We group estimates and jobs by area so we are not crossing the region twice in one day. A paving day in East Brunswick might include an estimate stop in Spotswood or Milltown on the way back.
For commercial lots, we can plan around business hours and do the work in sections. Asphalt needs dry, mild weather to compact properly, so our main season runs from spring into late fall. Busy properties should call early to lock in a window.

Questions about paving here
Which part of Middlesex County do you cover?
We serve southern Middlesex County: Old Bridge, Sayreville, South Amboy and Edison, plus the towns south of them, including East Brunswick, Monroe, South Brunswick, Plainsboro, Cranbury, Jamesburg, Helmetta, Spotswood, South River and Milltown. Towns farther north in the county are outside our service area. If you are unsure, call or text 732-403-3053 and we will tell you right away.
Do you work on warehouse or office parking lots in the Route 1 and Turnpike area?
We pave and repave parking lots for businesses, offices, retail centers, HOAs and property managers throughout our Middlesex area. For larger properties we usually mill the worn surface, fix failed base areas, and pave a new layer, planning the work in sections so the business can keep operating. Every lot is different, so we start with a free on-site estimate.
My driveway in an older neighborhood keeps cracking. Can it just be repaved?
Sometimes. If the base underneath is still solid and the cracks are mostly on the surface, milling off the worn top and repaving can give you a new driveway surface for less than a full replacement. If the driveway is sinking, heaving or breaking into pieces, the base has failed and new asphalt on top will crack again quickly. Dan will look at it in person and tell you which one makes sense.
Do soils in Middlesex County affect how you build a driveway?
They can. Southern Middlesex has a mix of sandy ground and heavier soils that hold water, and properties near the Raritan River and its tributaries can sit low. We dig out soft or organic material, build a compacted aggregate base, and set the grade so water drains away from the house and garage instead of sitting on the asphalt.
