Asphalt Driveway & Parking Lot Paving in Bradley Beach, NJ

Asphalt driveways and parking lots in Bradley Beach: excavation, base, grading and paving by a family-owned, licensed crew. Free estimates.

Bradley Beach is a compact oceanfront borough in Monmouth County, bounded by Fletcher Lake and Ocean Grove on the north and Sylvan Lake and Avon on the south. Its streets are lined with year-round homes, summer bungalows and rental units, most on small lots with short driveways. Dan The Paver paves asphalt driveways for Bradley Beach homeowners and asphalt parking lots for the borough’s businesses, churches and multi-family properties.

Small lots, tight driveways

Bradley Beach follows a classic shore grid between Ocean Avenue and Main Street (Route 71), with the Route 71 corridor and the train line on the west side. Most driveways are single-car width, running beside the house to a detached garage or a small parking area at the back. Some homes share a drive with the neighbor next door. Over the years, many of these drives have been filled, built up and settled until the surface is uneven or lower than the street.

Our usual Bradley Beach jobs are full driveway replacements, rebuilt aprons and milling and repaving on drives where the base is still sound but the surface has broken up. Equipment is sized to fit narrow side yards, and we protect fences, steps and gutters along the way.

Sand and water

Like the rest of this stretch of coast, Bradley Beach is built on sandy soil with a shallow water table. The lakes on both ends of town and the closeness of the ocean mean groundwater is not far down, especially after a storm. Good drainage starts with grading. We excavate to stable ground, compact aggregate base in layers, and pitch the asphalt toward the street so water does not settle against a foundation or in a low corner. More on the process is on our asphalt driveway paving page.

Business parking on Main Street

Restaurants, shops, offices, houses of worship and apartment buildings along Main Street and the nearby blocks need parking that holds up during the busy summer season. We provide asphalt parking lot paving with milling and base repair where it is needed. Off-season work is easiest for most owners.

Talk to the borough first

Before changing a driveway’s width, adding a space, or cutting a new curb, check with the Bradley Beach construction and zoning office about the rules for your lot. Neighbors Ocean Grove and Avon-by-the-Sea have their own pages, and the Monmouth County hub links to every town we serve.

Bradley Beach paving questions

Our Bradley Beach bungalow has an old driveway that is lower than the street. What can be done?

This is common on older shore lots where the road has been repaved several times while the driveway stayed the same. We remove the old drive, raise the base with compacted aggregate, and set a new grade that meets the street smoothly and pitches water away from the house. The apron transition is the key detail, so it does not collect water or scrape cars.

Can we add an off-street parking space in front of our Bradley Beach home?

Possibly, but the borough decides that, not us. Bradley Beach has small lots, so front yard parking and new curb cuts are reviewed closely. Ask the borough's zoning and construction office what is allowed on your property. If it is approved, we can build the space with a proper base and tie it into your existing drive.
