Asphalt Driveway & Parking Lot Paving in Wall Township, NJ

Asphalt driveways and parking lots in Wall Township: excavation, base, grading and paving by a family-owned, licensed crew. Free estimates.

Wall Township covers a wide swath of southern Monmouth County, between the shore towns and the pines. It includes Allenwood, Glendola, West Belmar, Manasquan Park and other sections, and it is home to Allaire State Park and Monmouth Executive Airport. Dan The Paver installs, replaces and extends asphalt driveways across Wall and paves asphalt parking lots for its many businesses, offices, churches and associations.

Sections, roads and property types

Wall is big enough to feel like several towns. Neighborhoods near Belmar, Spring Lake Heights and Sea Girt have shore-influenced housing on suburban lots. Glendola and the areas near Route 33 and Route 34 have established subdivisions with ranches, capes and colonials. Allenwood and the southwestern side near Allaire have larger wooded lots with longer drives. Newer developments and several active-adult communities fill in the rest.

Most driveways are two cars wide, with many homes adding parking pads for boats, trailers or work vehicles. Long drives through the trees are common toward Allaire. Our asphalt driveway paving service handles replacements and new drives, and driveway widening and extensions cover the extra parking.

Sandy ground and river edges

Wall sits on sandy coastal plain soils that drain well across most of the township. The Manasquan River runs along its southern edge and the Shark River along its northeastern side, with wetlands and lower ground near both. Closer to the shore, the water table can be high.

On firm sand, the job is about compaction. Loose sand shifts under wheels, so we compact the subgrade, place and roll an aggregate base and back up the edges. Near the rivers and wetlands, we may dig deeper to remove soft or organic material. The finished surface is pitched to shed water into lawns, swales or the street, and asphalt thickness is matched to what parks and drives on it, thicker for boats and trucks.

A real commercial township

Wall has more commercial property than many people expect. Route 34 and Route 35 carry shopping centers, restaurants, car dealers and service businesses, especially near the Wall Circle area. Route 138 and the roads near I-195 and the Parkway have office parks, contractor yards and light industrial buildings. Churches, schools, medical offices and association clubhouses add more.

Our parking lot paving work covers milling, base repair, regrading and repaving for all of them. Larger lots may need milling to keep finished heights level with curbs and drains, and we phase work to keep the property open.

Allenwood and the rest of Wall

Allenwood residents can find more on our Allenwood page. Wall borders several shore towns, so we often work in Belmar and Manasquan as well.

Permits

The Wall Township construction and zoning offices handle questions about curb cuts, aprons and impervious coverage. Properties near the rivers or wetlands may face extra review.

Wall Township paving questions

Is Allenwood part of Wall Township?

Yes. Allenwood is a section of Wall, in the township's southwestern part near Allaire State Park. Glendola, West Belmar and Manasquan Park are also sections of Wall. We serve all of them, and the same construction and zoning offices handle permit questions across the township.

Our driveway in Wall is near the Manasquan River. Does that change anything?

Homes near the Manasquan and Shark rivers, and near the wetlands that feed them, can have a higher water table and softer soil. We check the subgrade carefully, remove anything that will not compact, and build a firm aggregate base. The finished slope is designed so water runs off the drive quickly rather than seeping into the base.

Do you pave lots for businesses on Route 34 and Route 35 in Wall?

Yes. Wall has a lot of commercial property on Route 34, Route 35 and Route 138, from shopping centers and restaurants to office parks, contractor yards and medical buildings. We mill and repave, rebuild failed base, fix drainage and schedule work in phases so the business stays open.

Can we add a parking pad for a boat or trailer?

In many cases, yes. Plenty of Wall homes near the shore want space for a boat, camper or work trailer. We add the pad with a deeper base than a normal car area, tie it into the existing drive and pitch it to drain. Check with the township about coverage limits first.
